It does look like them … if they are not feeding on leaf mater , then you are good.

Alrighty then … grab some Spinosad and blast the fuckers to start with.

You might have to rotate various mite control products as the borg ( aka mites ) tend to be a tough bug to get rid of.

My understanding is if there is an hyper population of hypoaspis miles they will go upwards and eat the leaves.
No. Those are probably a type of spider mite. Hypoaspis stay around the soil. They don't eat live leaves no matter the population.
But they are fast moving.
