Is this light good for veg only

Im trying to buy 3 lights one for seeds, veg and flower. Im buying some lights from russell but im not sure ehat to pick for veg. He says 3000k is good for veg what you guys think?

3000k is more for flower (more red), a 4000k is more for veg (more blue), a 3500K is just right for both. Often a 3500k spectrum will have more red than the 4000k but without much loss of the blue.

This image shows you just how little difference there is (to the human eye) between 3000k and 4000k.

Are you running separate tents for each growth cycle? If not then I would just go with a dimmable 3500k light.

Thank you .so 35k for flower and 4k for veg. How about k for seeds?

Sorry. He says 35k + 440 nm is good for veg. Does that sound right?

If he's saying 35k then I would question his knowledge of lighting. the "K" is for "Kelvin" so it should be 3500K. I get great veg growth under 3500K but I believe 4000K promotes bushier growth. For seedlings you can use just about anything in the same range...even CFL or T5s work great for seedlings.

Right. I meant 3500k. I'll ask him if he has anything in 4000k then. Thanks man
