this is how i had it (see pics) the smallest ones in the middle and the taller ones to the outside spaced out good enough so light gets down to lower branches.
more is mostly better when it comes 2 lights next is location , location , location..

this is what i just did.(see pics) i put a taller one that had less vegetation..(ie big leaves)in the center right under the light ,then the five tallest ones got spaced out even from each other one foot from the center plant.(edge of pot),then the five shortest ones went onto five gallon buckets evenly spaced 18 inches from the center one..to me this looks like every plant is now as close to the light as i can get unless anyone has a better way? please let me know.

Those blankets are Mylar, very thin sheets by Mylar all the same..
I always thought emergency blankets were
vacuum deposited aluminum. Are you "100%" sure its mylar ? bongsmilie

Yo Johnny, did you ever make it to dollar tree ? I'm going tomorrow evening to see if I can get more hempy buckets :peace:

Sorry, wasn't sure of anything I said in that post, which is why I deleted it. Your correct though, its a plastic that is sprayed with a aluminum vapor if I understand correctly.

It's ok, it's possible you were also correct. Sometimes when I'm high I like to fuck with people.

Haha no offense or anything taken man. They actually do sell emergency blankets that are called Mylar and as both Mylar and Space blankets are in the PET family there is a good chance those are actual mylar as in the name brand. Either way the spaceblanets reflectivity is still around that of mylar which is what the issue here would be. Anyway what I was saying about that was probably wrong, but more importantly the information given on lighting was wrong. So just correcting the mistake before BS is spread.

mylar would be the best you can put on your wall. i was using white melamine at first but switch over to the mylar and im glad i did. also the easyest way to tell if your light are to close is the feel test. feel your leaves up top if they are cold to the touch thats what you want warm and light are to close. so lower your lights till your leaves are starting to feel warm the back a way from there. with a good fan you can lower your lights to 3-4 inchest from plant give you max lumens to your plants with out burning them. Now your 1000 watts are going to be hotter than my 400 so that 3-4 might change to 6-8 inches. but put a fan no them will help. i found the lower the better. the higher the lights just introduces streching between the nodes. Not to mention penetration, closer the better as well. but thats what i do with my lights.

i have it as close as it can get and still hit all the plants but its 1-2 feet from each plant and i have an osculating fan going to plus the fan cooling the light.i can't see a better way for my light to get all 11 plants then this, but i like ideas if any one has one?
