Is this normal. HPS doesn't ignite when the ark tube is glowing

When i unplug the lamp, then plug it back in about 10 seconds later, the ark tube will glow but it doesn't fire up. When i wait until it isn't glowing it starts.

Yes... The ballast was overheated, and had to cycle itself, and re-start... Simple...

becarfull doing that. its something to do with the gasses in the bulb. im not sure how they work. but if you keep turning it on and of like that it will =====boooooooom

Always allow bulbs to cool for 10-15 minutes before restriking. Hot restrikes are hard on the bulbs....

Thank f for that, i was freaking out because they don't sell ignitors anywhere in my country. I did it three times!, luckily it's an old bulb.

yeah, they dont very much like being energized, and re-energized, and so on like that...
