the bigger question is how did 3 leaves grow at the same node, when in general cannabis leaves come in pairs.
What does this have to do with what I said...Cannabis naturally grows like a Christmas Tree because its apical dominance is set for tall skinny growth. It is possible to achieve some degree of lateral growth dominance with nothing but low-stress training (LST), but the single most effective way to break the apical dominance in cannabis is to cut off the apex, by topping the plant.
TLDR; The plant was topped forcing it to change the way it grows.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are 3 leaves at that node which explains why there's 3 "tops"...the bigger question is how did 3 leaves grow at the same node, when in general cannabis leaves come in pairs. Are all your nodes sets of 3 leaves?? What strain?
