Depending on the plant, that could be a good thing. Mine's been growing sets of nine and eleven from the get-go (since maybe the fourth matching set) and it just starves the lower branches for light. On the other hand, greater leaf surface area means more growth potential. Having so much foliage has also meant that the few bastard spider mites that have invaded the plant really haven't made a mark at all.my friend had a trainwreck outdoors it was probably 4' high and 3' around and it was full of single finger leaves. it didnt even look like a pot plant. Now that it has began to flower all the new leaves are 5 fingers. Wierd but i guess it happens
