Is this root rot ?

First time grower plants were doing well but now the roots look a little weirder than usual. I use hydro guard which is the cause of most of the color but the brownish specs slime looking thing is new. Little worried because they’ve stopped drinking water in the last few days but before they’d drink about a gallon a day. Am I just too worried ? They’re on day 77 next week I was going to flush. Ppm around 900, temp in 70, water temp 66, humidity 60’s hydro with Flora trio.

Does not look like root rot to me. I believe you have discoloration from your nutes. Root rot has a very distinct smell. You will know when you have root rot.

Looks fine to me. Looks like your taking away to fast in your nutrition. Gradually reduce you ppm. Avoid that yellow shock. And don’t take away to much
