Is this TDS meter for $15.00 junk ?

If it is junk, how much do I need to pay for one that will do the job, it doesn't matter if I have to replace it every 2 grows. I've bought a $60.00 PH meter that was junk and a $25.00 PH meter that was dead on accurate and stayed accurate.

I have one of those as a backup and it works fine bro! They all do the same but for peace of mind I check the calibration every so often.

Ive got two of em! The first one is still working after tons of use for over 9months. I dropped it in water and it quit working, so I quickly ordered another! By morning, dried and new batteries, the old one still works great! Now Ive got a backup! Since that panic, I bought a spare cheap ass ph meter should my decent one fail. Thus far Ive destroyed a PH meter $20 cuz i dropped it in the nutes too. Bought a waterproof and another cheap backup. GO cheap, get backups.....unless you drop shit. Then get a waterproof. Should I drop one of those ppm meters, I'll get a waterproof, but thats just me. Definately a buy at $20! As far as calibrating? Never tried it. Calibrate my ph meter, but oh well.

btw, that meter uses the NaCl measurement. Be sure you are aware of what your nutes reccomend. One nute company I use says to go to 1200ppm for flower. At about 800, ladies said "NO MORE!!" Quickly learned there's NOT a worldwide standard. If I was really serious, Id get a REAL ec meter, and do my own math for ppm. But, I aint worried like that, its a weed!
