Is week 5 of flowering too late to trim off popcorn budsites?

I have a plant that is week 5 into flowering. I wanna trim off the popcorn budsites that dont get any light. I am using a 150watt hps and some CFLs for side lighting. The plant is huge and is covered with budsites. The top buds look great. So I wanna trim of lower sites, so the energy will go to the top buds. So is week 5 of flowering too late for trimming?

There are too many variables to say definitively yes or no, but 5 weeks is definitely a bit late in the window of opportunity. The biggest factors are how long your strain takes to flower, and how much you plan to remove. If you do not remove more than 10% of the total plant mass, a healthy plant should handle the stress without any noticeable slow in growth.

Best of luck with whatever you decide

It wont increase your yield any significant amount so let the popcorn pop longer for some heavier trichomes for better hash or just better popcorn.Trim off any unwanted pop or fluff lower budsites before flower preferably. At least before strecth phase is over.Good sharp scissors work best.I use a small titanium pair from the sewing section, super sharp, works like a charm.GL

Yes 5 weeks in flower is to late.
you need to be pruning 2 weeks or more before flowering.
