It looks like they are reaching for light. I would fill the pots almost to the top. The extra soil will help support plants and they will also have more roots.

I'm hydro myself, but if I saw that I'd be checking my EC and likely upping my feed. They don't look too bad tbf, keep that oscillator on em to strengthen up the trunks.

Looks to me more like they lack the strength in the trunk to reach the light. I doubt bringing em closer would help tbf. Don't you need to be careful with how much soil you let seedlings grow in? Never grown in dirt, so no flames please

Get the seed off ASAP! It will kill at least half the plant. I use tweezers by squeezing them in just enough to put the tips inside the hull and letting the spring of the tweezers to open it.

They have weak trunks because they are using all their energy stretching. Their trunks be about an inch or 2 to the leaf and the nodes should be fairly close. All the growth in that long trunk should only about a couple of inches.Looks to me more like they lack the strength in the trunk to reach the light. I doubt bringing em closer would help tbf. As for the soil depth, you can build the soil as much as you like and it will just make more roots. When I transplant I always plant to about 1 1/2 inch to the first node.

They don't look that tall at all though. Oscillating fan from birth should help with that. My ladies are still in rockwool by that point and they're definitely higher and straighter.
It's not soil it's coco coir and yea I had a little.light issues for a minute but that one particular plant that HAD a seed hull on it has just never stiffened up.. it's sad I worked in batches of 3 just for this reason to do better as I went instead of just having 12 at once to learn with my second batch I doing great I used the window instead of the lamp I got for their seedling stage now they are out door with the others and looking

This is the move. Stand the plants upright and fill the pots almost all of the way up. The buried trunk will grow roots. Plus the coco gets compacted from waterings, so it's good to go back and top it off after so long.
Thank u I had wondered if that would damage the trunks.. they are doing better I've added a grow light for nights. Not much just a 40 watt flood light type bulb I use for sprouting they are autos so they seem to really crave much more light than my yard offers without roasting them in the arizona sun

What's the feed EC/ppm and PH ? Are you feeding/watering at bare minimum once a day ? Runoff ? Temps ? Silica ?
Ph is 6.7 and my ppm Is a lil high for veg at 1000 - 1100 but I was watering when dry for root development but I think when I transitioned to outside I didn't take into consideration how much faster they would dry out my Temps are high obviously I'm in az outside we are already 90s but it's obviously much cooler in the shade cuz we got no humidity I got fans now too and things are really looking up.. I also forgot to up my nutes so they deff got hungry then with the lack of enuff light it took alot out of the one that had a piece of shell on his stem.. anyways she's the little one that all new.growth I pruned the old stuff off once it had some fresh leaves.. I haven't tested my runoff I kno there's so much more I should be doing for these plants but I'm happy with the improvements I've made.. it's really just a trial run for me
