I had one top in this batch at first I thought mold, however under the orb it just appears to be just massive amounts of white hairs. I run LED and during the flower I add in an LEC light as well. This is in a 4x4 Tent. My question is will it be smokable?20190429_184200.jpg

I’ve seen bleaching before but never like that. Damn I didn’t know it could get that bad.

Thanks for the confirmation and the info. I couldn't find pics that look quite like that when I searched on line but the pics from the gwe that Optus posted are a lot like mine. I will post up a couple of the orb pics that show the trichomes, when I get a chance.

Agreed on bleaching. It will probably be tan when cured.

How close are your lights? 1st and only time you've seen this I assume, new strain or new lights?

The thing is it was close to the light but I raised the light 2 weeks ago and yet this still developed. top is a close up of the lower part of the kola and the second is a close up of the top itself.

There was a lot of this years ago when there were blue/red and BGR lights around and seems like I remember this being attributed to being too close to specific blue diodes. Just what comes to mind. Never had em.

Looks like light bleaching and sort of foxtailing to me. I had that happen to Nirvana Critical CBD last year. It was a weird strain that stretched for 4 weeks with complete foxtailing top to bottom of the colas. There were 3 or 4 of those albino tops with the foxtail pattern. I scoped them with a zOrb and saw similar to your first trichome photo. Looks like the caps are missing from a bunch of trichomes. Bad strain or pheno or grower error, in my case :)

OK wellll smoked some of this it smokes great hits hard but goes away relatively quickly. I am curing for another week. and will try again.

That’s because the tops have already been degraded and potency has diminished. Raise your lights. You will be pleased to see those injured tips disappear.
