Well, after a major disaster last year and many lessons learned about trust and responsibility, me and my partner in plants are back for another outdoor grow..... This year I will Be supplying Clones of 2 strains to the grow. Last year was a disaster mainly because of the seeds supplied by my partner, this year that wont be happening....

we are going to be growing in a remote forest. 15~ Miles from the nearest small town. the Exact location has yet to be determined, but we have 3 or 4 spots we are currently scouting, all of which has direct water access and are on a South facing slope, 2 Things which are Essential where we are growing.

We are located in BC Canada at Lat: 54 N at an elevation of around 700 M (2000 Ft) Above Sea level. Winters come hard and fast around the end of September to Mid October, and we NEED to grow strains which flower VERY fast outdoors, and they have to flower under 14/12 to truly make it to finished. Its a harsh environment for Marijuana, but if you know what your doing you can produce some VERY Dank Winter Buds.

We will be using Organic soil, in as large and cheap of pots as we can possibly get our hands on (Suggestions?). Also, we are wondering about cheap and easy, buy hide able greenhouse ideas... something we can set up around mid-late August. we figure if there is a greenhouse, we can heat water to ensure the temperature will stay above 5 C and the plants will continue to grow... and we are looking for a place to get cheap online supplies from Canada just to top it all off....

ANY suggestions you guys might have will be good to hear :D

You've got the right idea with your spots, facing south and near a water source. You also want to think about animals in the area and how to fend them off.
I've heard that indicas require less sunlight, although whether it's true or not I'm not sure.
I've heard of heating buckets of water and putting them in your greenhouse before and it DOES work.
I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell marijuana seeds in Canada, but if you find a site lemme know ;)
Finally, use organic soil for sure, although I'd say maybe use 4-5gallon pots. They don't need to be excessively big :S
Ps. You could also try to think of a way to track rainfall in your area so you know when you need to water your plants and when they are o.k.

i Forgot to mention, the strains im going to be using :D Both strains start flowering in Early Augest and finish around mid September. perfect for my climate.
Kish - CashCrop Ken http://www.vancouverseedbank.ca/product.php?id=124&n=Kish&r=wl
Rainbow Skunk - Solar Warrior http://www.vancouverseedbank.ca/product.php?id=257&n=Rainbow-Skunk&r=wl

Right now im contemplating between 10 Gallon Bags, or 5 Gallon Bags with open bottoms and amending the soil below the bag. i want unbridled root Growth to allow the buds to swell as much as possible. Tracking the rain is an EXCELLENT idea. im going to ask if i can get local rainfall readings for the last 5 years and try to pick up any patterns.

Corbat,

http://www.peakseedsbc.com/ordering.htm

Send this guy an email, he breeds for your conditions. I'll be running his sativa dom gear and Sannies indica dom this Summer.
^ THIS is seriously sexy man haha. i sent them an Email as soon as i seen your post. im getting info on Northern Berry, Northern Lights and Texada TW x NL... they are looking just as good as the Kish at this point.

New Strain Lineup:
Kish - Cashcrop Ken
Northern Berry - PeakseedsBC
Northern Lights - PeakseedsBC
Texada x NL - peakseedsBC

if u got ripped last year
didn't get ripped last year.. almost did but we scared the bastards off.

I've been wondering about Iranian Auto's from Dr. Greenthumb. they look expensive, but if i can breed them for seeds in my basement before this season it might be worth it... know anything about them? Dr. Greenthumb's site seems to be down... hmm

I just gota post to throw this out there. the people at peakseeds are AMAZING. i would highly recomend them to anyone in Canada or the states.

i have been talking with them all day Emailing back and forth. i have nailed my strain selection down to Texada x Northern Lights and Texada x Skunk. all 3 of the strains involved have allways treated me right. i grew Northern Lights for my first outdoor grow and it was decent, but that was 4 Years ago and i have learned ALOT about soil, nutrients and general plant growth so this should be a good one.

Talking with this guy is great, you can tell he knows his stuff and he doesn't mess around. they are even throwing in some freebies just because i showed so much interest in the strains :D

I know its early for British Columbia's grow season, but i have already began my scouting aswell! The strains i will be working with will be Bush bud (fem) from VISC, Early Sativa from Great White North, and Skunkberry from Jordon of the Island seed co. All these i hope to be good yeilders and late to mid. September harvest, for are wet conditons.

15 miles away is pretty far. Sounds like you won't be visiting very much to water etc. If this is true i suggest scrapping the pot idea and put them in the ground. Sounds like some good strains.

where i live 15 miles is a 30 min drive through the woods. i will be able to easily get there every 2-3 days. i can even pack in water if i have to.... the back of my SuV is blacked out and people here mind their own buisness...

last year it was 2 miles down the line and it was way to close... it was almost spotted multiple times that we know of.. so this year we are putting it on the north side of a secluded lake.
