New grow, fresh start, new strain, lots of modifications in the grow room, now I'm ready to share it all with you peeps here on RIU.
So, lets start with the modifications I've made to my flowering room.
1) Mounted ballast on the outside of my room to help keep my temps down in summer, it's gonna be getting warmer soon.
2) Fitted a new more powerful 5" extractor. This thing is a beast and moves 480m3/h. It's kinda noisey but I got the exhaust hooked up with insulated ducting and a carbon filter which really muffles the noise. I also have a speed controller connected, as I don't need to run it at full wack all the time. Only on the hottest days.
3) Finally, I've fitted a new wall mounted osciallating fan. I've been through so many cheap shitty fans since I started growing that I decided to get a decent one this time and hopefully it will last a bit longer. This one has a 'soft wind' mode, so it varies the speed of the fan all the time while osciallating and it creates a lovely breeze. It's great being wall mounted too as it saves space on the floor.
I also gave my room a real good clean and tidied up some of the cabling so it's all neat and tidy.
So, that's all the hardware changes....now for the stock!
Up first, we have my Jack Herer #5 mother, she has been vegging for around 4 months from clone. I didn't think she was going to make it at one point, but I pulled her back with lots of TLC and now her time has come!
This plant is going to be MASSIVE and yield very big, I can't even begin to imagine what she will yield as I've never flowered anything this big before that has been vegged for so long. It's very exciting!
Next up and making a first time appearance in my flowering room is The Cheese! I've had this cut which I acquired from a fellow grower for a couple of months. It's been a bit neglected, but she's doing fine now and I'm looking forward to watching her bud up.
The above pics were taken a couple of days ago while they were still in veg. Today is Day 2 Flowering.....
They are both in big 15l (4 gal) pots with good quality Canna Professional soil.
Before putting them into flower, I took some cuts to keep the genetics going and my options for future grows open. JH#5 on the left, Cheese on the right.
I'm going to be getting some new seeds to start as well soon, Hash Plant or Balck Dominia, I just can't decide!
Anyway, that's it for now. I hope you enjoy following along. I'll try and do weekly pic updates on Fridays.
