Jar RH in 50%..how to higher rh

When my jar gets too low I just add a few drops of demineralized water and seal it up. Then check the next day.

What is the ambient room RH?

Added lettuce leaf 20 minutes one jars at 55 the other jars at 60 took lettuce out at rh holding 55rh & 58rh now

Water is water, it really depends on how big the jar is and what your target RH is.

I use qt jars and only add 4-5 drops a day to increase the RH in the jar. it takes a whole day at least for the water to completely dissipate though the jar. And certainty the jar should be sealed during this time.

I never tried adding water I've always used is the orange peel or lettuce for a couple hours to bring back the RH

RH both jars now 57 will keep an eye on them do what I got to do

Hopefully weather cooperates in November and humidity up and downs
Stop
Will be easier to control drying environment
I Use a inkbird humidity controller
Dry at room temperature

My problem is the opposite. I have a hard time getting to 70% in the summer. Winter is a little better. Next harvest should be in 6 weeks or so. So in the house heating season with lower humidity. Sometimes we get floods and the crawlspace fills with water. It takes a least a year to get the house humidity down under 70% in the winter.
