Jared bud smel

Hello,

I placed the buds into jars after I chopped her but now they started smelling like hay. Like wet grass left on the rain for a couple of days. Can that be mold?

Did you hang the buds or went straight to jars

Hello,
after I cut them I hang them 4,5 days in cardboard boxes. After the humidity was about 55% I placed them in jars.

How often did you burp the jars

Well, I just burped them once in 2 days I was away and I couldn't ask nobody. They were in open jars but in a sealed plastic box. RH reached 71%

Thats why... You should burp them at least twice or 3 times a day for the 1st few days

So how can I see if they have mold? It should have been developed by now?

spread them out on a paper bag for a couple days, then try jarring again with proper burping. Good luck.

My first time I had the same issue a grassy smell after reading the thread i linked, I found it was due to improper drying.
