Very excited for my first indoor run!
I’m going to use this thread as my journal but also my introduction to the forum.
I’ve grown outdoors off and on since 1999 with varying degrees of success. The first real weed I smoked in the late 90’s was my dad’s homegrown. I still remember how rich it was in the mouth. Cannabis was really helpful in bringing my father and I much closer together.
So this first run is for my dad and I chose strains that he talked about often over the last 20 years. Acapulco Gold from Barney’s Farm, a Pre-98 Bubba X Panama Red from CSI and a Critical Cure (1 to 1 CBD/THC) from Barney’s. The last one is for me as I’ve gotten into more balanced cannabis recently.
For my medium I am running a no-till organic style using the coot mix. For my worm castings I found a local farm that makes high very high quality castings while my bin gets going.
I planted these seeds September 3rd and flipped to flower last week (October 14th). I may have flipped a bit early, but I only have between 1.5x3’-2x4’ of light coverage at the moment and I didn’t want to crowd the plants either. I began LST early and topped the Acapulco once.
So far I’ve really only been watering. I did just top dress a bit worm castings and Dr Earth 2-8-4 and then added a layer of straw. Plants seem happy enough so far.
I really love having a little garden and I think I am going to love it even more during our cold winter. To go check out the plants at night when the house is quiet is so calming and peaceful.
Hoping to connect with other bio oriented growers here and continue to learn. Feel free to drop a comment in here.
