Just an FYI

So i was sweeping my patio today an noticed my bag of Miracle Gro Organic Choice. I originally grabbed this bag because of the name, I mean organic choice how could you go wrong? So i filled a 3 gallon pot with this SHIT SOIL and wasted my banana skunk seed(s) which btw, is one of the best shit i have ever smoked. Yea, that's right, after the first seed didn't take i decided to sprout the second one i had after the first one didn't take after a week. Anywho, after the 2nd seed failed i decided to call it quits. It wasn't until months after this failure that i decided to look at the bag of soil that had been waiting outside on my patio for months. My heart dropped when i thouroughly inspected the bag only to find four words "not for potting soil" on the bag. So please, if you must use Miracle Gro, make sure it's for potting. Don't get me wrong, when i finally grew again i used MG organic for potting and it worked really well! my plant got to 14" before it showed balls, and it was bushy as fuck for CFLs. This is a semi-rant/public service announcement. I guess the moral of this (essay) is don't buy soil when you're high lol :)

Miracle grow ferts..... lack micro nutes - not a complete fert....just ramped up NPK
Miracle grow soil....cheaply made....a waste of dough.....bottom of the barrel stuff...
.
Better to make your own soil - peat moss and/or coco coir, perlite, worm castings, composted cow manure...... all these components are available at Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart....etc....
.
Or buy decent stuff - Promix, Ocean Forrest, Happy Frog, Black Gold...etc...
.
I'm always shocked when someone pays $ 100 for good quality seeds, then tries to grow them in $ 5 soil. You get what you pay for......
.
High or not - Miracle Grow - OH-NO.......
.
Keep it Real....Organic.....

Don't blame the soil people the fault is in the growers method. Everyone except you knows that miracle grow is a hot soil with nutrients already built in. You CANNOT start seeds in it. You should have started your seeds in peat pellets and then stuck that in the soil only after it had a good rootball. If you had done that every seed would still be alive and thriving.

User error.

OregonMeds, did OR ever pass that dispensary bill that was supposed to go up for voting? Just wondering, because we will be moving to OR in the near future.

Also, is it okay to plant seeds directly into FF Ocean Forest soil? Never done it, but just wondering if I could.

Zombie1334.... Do not plant seeds directly into FF OF Soil - too hot. It will burn tiny roots and stunt growth. Start in peat pellets, rapid rooters or Jiffy seed starting mix.
.
I'd cut the FF OF Soil by half using Promix, coco coir, and any other good brand of peat moss. Then can fill your pot 70 percent full of it, then use something very mild in nutes - like a nice compost & peat moss and/or coco fiber mix to fill in the rest. That way Mary can grow into the richer soil after she is mature. Your top buffer zone will prevent " The Burn ".
.
Hope this helps....
Keep it Real...Organic....& avoid the burn.....
