thanks for the welcome!
just got done redoing my entire operation actually...
long story short... caught some mites from a couple clones someone gave me (naive me didnt treat them upon arrival) so they infested my whole garden (had 3 black domino, 3 green acres already going) by week three of flowering (summertime high temps high humidity) virtually destroying what was supposed to be my best harvest to date (was finally getting the knack for it after quite some time)... so i fought them the whole way with organic treatments, saved the harvest, though it was compromised in every aspect possible... color, taste, smell, stickiness, you name it. completely discouraged i decided to take a break... tear everything down and cleanse the area... then decided to rebuild
i had been growing in a little hidden room to conceal the grow for a while... it was convenient in a sense but lost its lust over time.. just got to crowded and inconvenient for maneuvering... so i asked the woman for permission to build a new room in the main part of the basement and it was granted as long as it was "inconspicuous" haha.
so i now have a much bigger flowering room (7x8 rather than 5.5x5.5), going to be much cooler, and bringing in much more fresh air than before as well... made myself a big sealed box that i can place two 1x24x15 inch furnace filters to filter the air of dust and debris before it even enters the room. before i had one small vent that allowed fresh air into the room... the rest was recirculated room air
which i think led to my heat/humidity issues
currently vegging out 5 plants around 3 weeks or so... 4 black domino and 1 thats supposed to be but i think it was mislabeled and its actually a kushberry i'll post some pics of them on this post when i get my camera out later.... the one i believe to be kushberry is lookin a little funny to me and i wanted some opinions... i had a couple ideas...
im into organic growing... for soil i use promix with worm castings, bone meal, and a local MI product called ADZSUM(mineral powder, awesome stuff). I have been using Earth Juice products, with magi-cal, and thrive alive (green)... have some humboldt nutrients as well, a bloom, and the prozyme were givin to me. Soon i will be getting the Adv. Nuts. bud candy, Roots excelerator by home and garder, and also organic ph balancers made by earth juice. I am getting into the habit of bubbling my "nutrients" 24-48 hours before watering to help them get working faster... Feed, water, water cycle. always vegging 24/7.
I like to train my plants to grow as low as possible keeping all the branch tops at an even height the best as I can and get that baby spread out! just like a scrog but w/out the screen... then when its time for flowering I just let em reach for the light! Remember kids the more tops you have at the "prime" height in your canopy... the more chunky nuggets you shall recieve
once again thanks for the welcome, and i look forward to gaining some knowledge from you all!
