Looking for recommendations as far as amount of time on/ time off or just leave on misting for 24/7 until roots develop a bit or would that burn out the pump faster? I plan on using a small amount of Clone-X solution/calmag and ph'd water. As far as the Ph what is a good level? I was gonna go between 5.8-6.3 similar to DWC or coco

24/7 mist untill your ready to transplant them. Pump wont burn out. Just dip the cuts in clonex, Anything in the water other than what they need will likely be detrimental, as they dont have roots they probably dont need cal/mag. Ph between 5.5-6.0.

Run your pump 24/7 bro they are designed for it. If you flick it off & on all the time its guna fail real quick. That & chances are your cut sites will slime up & turn brown if left in the open air with no mist

ive just baught a cloner, theaero-pot and its ays to leave it on 24/7. i guess that as its so cold here in the uk ,that the heat caused by the mister/fogger being on 24/7 actualy helps them to get roots faster.
but theres no reason why it should cause any problems being off as cuttings take in a closed dome setup anyway. it just keeps the moisture in

At one time I had 26 ez cloners (128 piece).
I’ve tried it all. Misting on and off. Putting nutes. Not putting nutes. Chiller vs. no chiller. Different lights etc.

keep it simple. If it needed a timer it would come with it. If it needed a chiller it would come with it. Water and clonex. keep 24/7 misters or you’re gonna get root rot quick after you turn your pump off. 18/6 fluorescent or led lights.

Im not saying they wont take. I picked a leaf off a plant I was growing outside in the garden once, & dropped it on the ground. A couple weeks later I noticed that leaf I picked off was still green after all that time. I picked it up for a closer look only to find, believe it or not that leaf had grown roots & was surviving not growing but surviving off them. So yeah turn the pump off every now & then they could strike, but its just as likely that one of them maybe wasn’t handled properly or picked up a microscopic nasty thats been lurking around its cut site exposed to the air it’ll turn brown & slimy. Then the pump fires back up & as it struggles with the shock of that solid block of water it has to push back through the tube, picks up a speck of the sick cuttings cooze & & sprays a beautiful mist of it all over all the rest of them. & hey who knows in a few weeks maybe 4 maybe 6 weeks even those slimy old shitters may still shoot roots. But in that time you could’ve cloned 4 or 6 times already, you’d have clones for Africa if they needed them. Pump 24/7

ive read about taking clones from a leaf cut into lots of small piecesof the leafm, but never herd of one doing so from falling on the ground.

I've used mine for 3 clone runs running 24/7, ph 5.8. I've yet to have one not root.
thebone i baught is ment to hsve a high sucsess rate too. im looking foward too it comming, ive been starving a lady to clone for a while now ,so hope they take real fast. good luck with it.
what clone site do youhave? mine got 8 sites in it, comes with net pots, jiffy pellets, hydroleca clay balls and the mister/fogger nside.
im going to be making my own once i know the size of fogger /mister it has in it, simple as to make.

You can leave it in 24/7 no issues. I’ve got like a 150watt pump in my home made cloner.
I run it 1 min on 20 off.Why waste electricity?

This pump was used for 7 years for aquarium stuff and now at least 3 years in my cloner, having it cycle on and off doesn’t wear a average pump that bad

I have a 48 site one. I like leaving spaced out. I use a light nutrient recipe from a buddy who recommended it. He has had them all being a long time grower and said hands down the best he's had. I tend to leave them in there awhile and throw into 3 gallon coco pots what works best for me. Have roots in 5 days or so and grow very quickly once they start.
