Just how effective are they?

ok so for my flowering room i have no exhaust system so carbon filters are out of the question (intake is a window ac unit for co2) and i need odor control so that my room doesnt make my neighbors smell it (apartment). I have decided on this http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=53129

first how many plants you growing?

essentially its going 2 be 18 plants each in different stages of flowering in the room for perpetual harvest. 6 at 1-3 weeks 6 at 4-6 6 at 7-9 etc 3 week harvest cycle the plants are big bud by the way

I have a small grow with 2 small tents and the odor even with my 2 carbon filters was still noticable. carbon filters did do a good job of removing 90% of odor but I too have neighbors close... so, I got an OZN-1 (I think i read a while ago that Al B Fuct said they were good so I went with it and it does work well. Now there is no smell whatsoever and no one ever says "oh it stinks" anymore... heres where i got it and I think it would be way more effective than that ozone jr... those ozone filters work great, buy with no exhuast fan stale, smelly air will be a problem.

thanks for the feedback everyone i will probably go with the bigger ozone generator cheech posted because safety is very important to me, i will have some airflow so hopefully no worries about stale or stagnant air, window ac unit bringing air in, multiple fans moving air in the room and the door open leading into the kitchen where air is pulled out the window with a fan. if this proves not 2 be enough i will find a way to hook up an exhaust to the window with a built in carbon filter. Since i am going to be constantly striving to improve my op i will probably make a intake outtake in the room so it brings air in and out on its own with the door shut and a ozone generator inside to control the smell so i can actually have people over.

I was just wondering how good that ozone gadget works for you,, how many plants would you say that it can control the odor of....Im wondering if it would be a good addition to the next time I can grow (one day)...

Well, for the price, I think it works pretty well. It takes care of the smell completely, but like I said, I also use carbon filters. But, if you want extra stealth, extra peace of mind, this will take care of the bit of stink the carbon filters miss. I mean, if you just had a few babies, maybe with this you wouldnt even need carbon filters.. I have 14 stinky ladies tho and this worked great! I shopped around for different ozone generators, and found either they were big and super expensive, or they were little and super expensive(ozone jr.).. this for 139. does up to 5500 sq ft, is built very well, very heavy duty(I dropped mine 4 ft on concrete floor and it was fine), and if you wanted to, you could even put it in the actual ducting. Its a long narrow thing, you could put it in the ducting. I thought that was cool. Thats not how I have mine cuz I didnt need to do it but if I ever re-configure my grow, maybe Id try it... hey hope that helped, let me know if you have any other questions. peace

thanks for the info i dont think i can do carbon filters because the grow area isnt enclosed but if this is wrong let me know id gladly do both, as for covering it completely i dont care because i happen 2 love the smell i just want to be sure i dont stench up to the point where my neighbors find out

Well, I love the smell myself.. I think if you got a OZN-1 it would do a good job of neutralizing/eliminating most of the smell for the neighbors though. Depending upon how many plants you have... like a few, I think youd be ok. It will totally help big time. I like mine. as a sidenote, another great herbal product I recently purchased is the Silver Surfer Vaporizer. Im not a huge vapor-afficionado but I like to once in a while and the volcano was too annoying for me to use so I got the SSV and it rocks! Real easy and efficient.. I like it a lot. thanks man i appreciate it have decided to go with the big ozone generator you posted since all i need 2 do is keep my neighbors from finding out and i think ill be fine because i didnt choose a particularly smelly strain

If your gonna spend money on a quality ozone generator (those are great dont get me wrong), then why not just get yourself a Canfan/Filter combo?? all you need from there is ducting man. I dont exhaust my growroom out a window, i have my tent in a closet, and it exhausts out into the room that the closet is in. I live in an apartment too man. With this setup i got worked out now, it still smells a little, but no more than it would if you burned a doobie every half hour all day long, lol. All you would need from there would be one of those Glade type air fresheners that bathrooms have, that you set on a timer and it sprays shit into the air every 15 minutes -- you need one of those, and some Liquid Blue incense. After i get up in the mornin i light an incense, and i cant smell bud for the rest of the day, n i fuckin blaze up man, lol, like at least 3-4 joints within the first 2 hours of bein awake

because my grow room isnt a tent or a closet... its literally the whole room im gonna use the ozone generator 100% for sure and if i make an exhaust outve the room it will have a carbon filter
