Just making burnt weed chips w diy ROSIN press

Guys I just got some buds harvested and dried out and I made a diy ROSIN press. All I'm getting is burnt bud chips..please give me some tips on this

I don’t own a press but I’ve used my friends he built. You’ll get a more uniform heat if you have a heater on each side of the press.
Edit-you have two heaters. Might need to upgrade to a hydraulic jack.

I’ve never seen one with that style of vise I hope you get it figured out
