Ok boys,

Just started them today

5 - Blueberry
5- Super Silver Haze
5- Super Lemon Haze
4 - Freebies, Lemon skunk, rocklock, sharksbreath and cloa train...:bigjoint:

I am very excited and have a few questions...:eyesmoke:

Already germed and they are now in half gallon pots hopefully will sprout in 2 days, I started these from seed outdoor. I will be transplanting into the ground in a few weeks...

How often will I have to water in these 1/2 gallon pots until i transplant? Should I go back say a week and water then I will transplant net time I go back?

I have various methods to keep pests away, including.

- Fishing line approx 12 and 3ft high around the entire garden
- 4 or 5 hidden bottles filled with cotten balls soaked in bleach, I then have holes in the sides to let the smells permiate to keep pest and deer away
-lastly I have dryer sheets hidden to keep pests away

Will these be enough to keep the pest and deer away? I have heard that this will be more then enough as anyhting in nature HATES man made scents.

I will update in a week for now here is the only pic I could really get today.

is that one of your hidden bottles in the middle, and the hidden drier sheets in the brush in the back? keep em moist dont saturate. you should have started them indoors at least for a few days if possible. im sure your methods for keeping animals away will work id run myself if i seen all that going on. piss around them when your out there piss deters animals. there is a few dozen ways to keep em at bay but a fence, piss around them and maybe a little irish spring and everythings usualy good. your going to need to watch out for slugs one slug with kill your small plant overnight. get some slug bait. what is your climate in your area? make sure your not jumping the gun. what exactly is your soil mix in your containers,no offence but from my view it looks a little rugged. your sprouts will thrive in well airated loose soil mix. good luck.

Well Lugging soil is an issue with my grow as well as starting indoors so I had to start outdoors and I had to use the topsoil in the wilderness. The Soil came from around a near wetland where it is rich in nutes. Also Where do I get slug bait from? Is there a cheap easy way to deter them instead of going out and buying "slug bait"? Is that even what I call it in the store? lol Thanks

Also thats a bad photo. After the plants get about 6" tall that bottle in the center will disappear also you cant really see the dryer sheet from any angles except that one when your up close. I just wanted the one bottle in the middle of my plants so that if something happens to breach the perimeter then it will be like a last defense sort of thing.

--Edit-- Also the water... Should I go back in 2 days? a week? there only in half gallon pots and i will be transplanting into the ground in 2 weeks or so anyway, I was thinking about going back in a week to water and another week to transplant?

whoa whoa whoa first off, you need to get those babys in the ground asap or they will roast in those tiny pots. judging by the pot size id say the sun will dry them out before they even get a chance to drink anything. and as far as soill goes, if the native soil is good id atleast amenmd it with some perlite to give a little added aeration. and remember dont plant in a conspicuous way! scatter them

Just stick them in the shade as best as you can untill they have a decent root structure then plant right away. keep them wet! especially if they are seeds or else they wont germinate in dry soil.

If you put em in the shade an cover em with plastic wrap it will stay wet, an cool tell they have broke the surface. pull wrap off an use some mulch to keep water in those little pots. I agree u probly sholdnt put em direct sun tell u got a alot more dirt cause it would dry to fast.

Yeah the sun will eat those little pots up man, and you would be lucky to come back with out the ground being dry. What about wind, is it high speeds there?

yea man the slug bait it comes in many names what it does is not deter slugs it attracts them then kills them put it in a wide circle around your plants. i would not want it touching my soil but it does do the trick. any hardwear store, wallmart.nursury will have it just ask its cheap and goes a long way. by the time you get your plants a half foot you wont need it. if its realy dry in your area you may not need it at all slugs like wet areas.
