Just started a grow, need more plants - how to get there

Just started a grow. I was hoping to place 4 Hulkberry Plus sativa dominant plants in 4x4 tent. I had a high seed germ failure rate. Only 1 out of 7 seeds took.
The HB+ has a flower time of approx 70 - 85 days.

I found a friend that may be able to supply me with a clone or two. These are indica dominant clones with a fast flower period. I'm also not sure of the size of the clones.

So now what? I see a few options. Let me know if there are others.

1. Wait till my plant gets bigger and clone her. I would assume I would pull the original out and grow 4 clones the same'ish size to keep things even'ish. That would push back my whole grow for sure, by how much? 5 weeks?
2. Take the clones from my friend and grow on. I would have a mix mash in the tent and might need plant risers under the shorter ones, I would have a lone plant finishing up for a while.
3. Sprout new seeds when and if they come. Assuming they don't have the same issue. They are coming from the west coast and might be baking in the mail truck right now.
4. Train this one and only HB+ around the tent as one super plant.
5. Move my lone plant outside and start over with the clones or new seed.

To be honest… your options are all gonna take 5-10 weeks longer other than the clones from a friend. The only downside is the mix mash. If that’s a deal breaker, I would let her grow a wait for my seeds. In the end you’ll either cut her or be ok with the seeds. If you train it out it will take extra time to fill out.

Looks like you're just getting going. Do option 4. If you like the way its behaving, take a few cuttings from small bottom/side branches when you flip to 12/12.

Second choice: Doing option 4 will give you better results and faster than doing option 1.

Third choice: option 5. Outdoor is very productive. Must stay on top of pest control.

Option 2 introduces significant risk of pests and contaminants in addition to the issues you already mentioned.. (If friend is trusted to give good clean clones, this can move up the ranking)

Option 3...well you might have this one veging nicely by the time new seeds arrive and you need to start all over.

I see nothing wrong with a mix mash.

1 strain to smoke just doesn't cut it.

Variety is a big deal in this world.

Just wanted to give an ending BECAUSE I know everyone was just dying to hear...

I cloned the lavacake and threw the originals that came from my friend outside once with clones took off. Keep the hulkberry around, she turned into a good sized bush by the time flower time came and The silly fem hulkberry turned out to be a male. But I had enough lava cake that I didn't run an empty tent. I didn't even look to see because well I just thought feminized.

So I guess funny thing, I didn't account for that option.. Thanks for your feedback last year.
