so i find these bag seeds. germ 3. 2 come out. plant two and they sprout in pitch black unexpectedly fast. The stems become redonkulously stretch and eventually fall over (but are still alive and the leaves look healthy). theyre livin on late cali summer sun and growin pretty dam slowly but steadily. they were planted 9/4, so its been 13 days and i got the seed-leaves ( those first two round ones) a first real set, and an incoming third set. these lil guys are probably really stressed from being moved around twice and also overwatered when they were sprouts

i spend a good hour or so each day lookin at the RIU sprouts and young'ns and these just look like tooooo stretched... idk anyone have any experience with rediculously stretched plants coming out relatively positive in the end? honestly, i wouldnt mind a male since i only have one plant. also, does the "stress" involved in a stretched plant increase chances of hermaphrodites? more importantly, does general stress increase hermaphrodite chances?

lastly, is there anyway to make a short plant? idk what strain i have, some sort of chronic but its all just bag seed and idk if itl fit where it will eventually grow so what can i do to make sure it is a small short plant?

When I have plants that have stretched I usually cut the amount of stem off that I don't want and then attach the plant back together with tape and cloning gel.

And then I scream...

IT'S ALIVE!
IT'S ALIVE!

...as lightening bolts shoot across my laboratory.

*evil laugh*

You need to try and get some of the soil out the bottom of the pot and fill it up at the top to try and support those long stems. To much Stress to the plant can cause hermies, so try and do it carefully. There are different means of trying to keep your plant short. Topping and LST are 2 options.

They'll make it, my first batch I had to tie up with a toothpick. However - get them into their own pots pretty quick - you don't want their roots tangling together. When you transplant them just bury them up to the bottom leaves, and they'll be good.:peace:
