Just transplanted from red solo cup.

I have 12 plants, and I have a light that will only power 8 maybe 9. They will be 1 month old from seed on Monday. I went out today and bought a 60lb brick of pro mix and filled 6, 3gallon plastic grow pots. Just straight soil. No microbes, no nutes, no nothing. Just plain ol pro mix. I have another 3 pots to fill and 3 more plants to transplant in order to reach the limit for the light I have. Which means I'll have 3 plants left over that are still in red solo cups that I'm unsure what to do with. Can anyone tell me what they expect to happen since I added nothing to them? Was pro mix the right choice over fox farm? How many can I fit under a 400w MH (which I plan to use as the flowering light also.)(I've taken into consideration that the MH will decrease yield but make more potent meds) is this even true? I have a lot of questions need answering due to me being a first one grower.

You could squeeze em under there. However, promix is not a first choice for most. You will have to supplement thatDER

uff with something. Go to Wally world, get you bag bat guano, bone meal, worm castings,. Won't cost ya much. Blend all that into your promix and you will have a much better soil. For nutes. I use fox farms grow big and tiger bloom

As far the ones that aren't getting out of the cups, well they eventually get root boundcand die.

Honestly, I would get the soil amendments, and repot them. They will not grow good at all in plain promix.

Ok thanks, I don't have money for any of the worm castings or bat guano, but I have bags of Blue Ox compost manure. Can I mix that into the promix and repot them? It's a NPK of .5,.5,.5.
And if I can use it, what ratios should I use?

How big of a bag? Check out the link in my signature. I show everything I put in mine. Minus the starter soil, the additives cost a whopping 18.00

If you start with a better quality soil. You need less additives. I don't usually need to use any nutes until flower. And then I use them sparingly.

It is the size of a good bag. Above knee high. I almost bought the fox farm stuff today if they weren't 35$ a bottle. I'll try and get to the market to find some bat guano and worm castings. But could I get away with ProMix Bx and Compost manure? I'm just worried because they are already transplanted in plain Pro Mix BX and I don't want them to die :/

Yeah mix it in. It won't be strong enough to burn em. And amazon is your friend. Fox farm nutes are ridiculous around me. Amazon is 1/3 the price. But yea. Mix it and it will keep em going for awhile.

If you plan on using no nutrients ProMix was the wrong choice you should have went with Fox Farm...By adding no nutrients you can expect slow growth, low yield, deficiencies, all types of problems...Mh may slightly lower yield compared to HPS and will not increase potency.

I started with reg medical UK Cheese seeds, a couple showed their sex to be female already, and I was told to look for a fert for tomatoes. I also have GH nutes, but barely any of the pink stuff. Should I add some now or wait a week or two?
