Just wondering bout Veg

I have three 5 inch clones that have been in veg about a week under a 6oo watt light I was just wondering how long would be suggested to keep them in veg? This is only my second go at this. So I am very new to all of it. I got really lucky with the first grow cause it turned out wonderful in everyway. I only want them to get about 4 ft cause of the space I am using. Any input would be much appreciated :weed:

Let them get around 22", and that should get you close to the 4" mark. If their mainly sativa based strains, try flowering at about 18", and they should end up close to 4'.

The standard is to let them grow to at least 4 - 6 nodes before switching to flower. This helps ensure that the plants are mature enough to switch. Of course some people use 12/12 from the start but I think it just adds stress to your plant trying to make it do something it isn't ready for yet. This is my opinion and there are more than one way to do it so lets not start a big long thread about which way is better. You can read other threads if you want and decide for yourself what the best way for you. I'm just stating my recommendation is all.

This is why it helps to know your strain. If 4 ft is the goal, and you don't know from experience how the strain performs, all you can do is guess.
