Hey, what's goin everyone? This is my first grow, and I've decided to try my luck at some Kandy Kush. A buddy of mine hooked me up with 6 feminized seeds (he works at a place that sells seeds and snagged a pack for me 
) and I started the germinating process earlier today. My plan is to plant the popped seeds on thursday or friday, and I'll be making weekly status updates from then on. I'm growing in a 38"h x 22"w x 15" stealth cabinet that I built from an old clothes dresser that I've converted and lined with mylar. I've built my own light/reflector for veg; I'm using 4, 42w CFL's inside my reflector, on a 18/6 light cycle, and will be switching to a cooled, 400w HPS on a 12/12 light cycle for flowering. I'm using 2, 43cfm computer fans for air flow inside the box (1 for intake, 1 for exhaust), as well as 1, 43cfm computer fan mounted on the top of my light reflector that serves 2 purposes; 1, to pull air around the lights to help keep temps down, and 2, to bring air upwards around the plants from the floor. I'll be growing in an organic soil/coco mixture, and nourishing my plants with DNF nutrients for both veg and flower cycle.
I've decided to go about things a little differently so that I can assure myself some quality nugs, with as little hassle as possible. My plan is to plant as many of the successfully germinated seeds as possible, veg for roughly 4 weeks, flip the light cycle to ensure the sex (I've done some reading and have heard that some feminized seeds have the tendency to be hermi), clip 5-7 clones from the genuine female plants, keep the strongest 3 clones, and continue as normal with the veg cycle from there. I prerfer to grow from clones, and am considering doing a SCROG or some LST to use the most of the tight space that I'm growing in, so that's why I've decided to go about doing things this way.
