Keeping a mother after harvest, indoor growing

Ive been growing outdoors now for 4 or so years, always successful. I have an extremely healthy plant that I would like to keep as a mother after harvesting. Any tips? Suggestions? I am looking to set up a small personal grow operation in my basement, have been doing a ton of research but just wanted to see if you guys had any tips. Eventually will be starting from seeds but would like to work on keeping the mother healthy first.

I leave the lower 1/3 usually, takes about 2 weeks to re veg out of the buds, they will look all twisted and bad for a bit, dont forget to give her veg nutes, then 18/6 when you have new growth and I wait about a month to take clones. MD

She's all set up fingers crossed this works because this is most success i've had with a plant and she seems very healthy!

Okay so 24 hrs of light for 2-3 weeks than 18/6 for about a month? then drop it down to??

Also, if and when I can start cloning, can I keep the clones in the same tent or do I need to move them because they need a different light cycle than the mother? Basically, does the mother need her own tent because eventually I will be germinating

Thanks guys

Just drop it to 18/6 when she starts to reveg, and leave it there until you've taken all the clones you want. Then you can throw her back into flower with 12/12 if you choose, after she recovers from the cloning.

I would go ahead and start a few seeds now. The reveg process can take a while. How many plants do you have space for?

Here is my set up (picture below). She went under the lights on Tuesday so its only been 3.5 days, thats an LED light (Roleadro LED Grow Light, Galaxyhydro Series 300W Indoor Plant Grow Lights Full Spectrum with UV&IR). I just went to feed, using fox farm grow big, and noticed some mold on some of the buds i had left on. A buddy of mine told me to just leave the bottom in tact so i left it buds and all. I hate playing mother nature, I feel like its easier to grow in the summer outside and just have to worry about feeding! The tent is 48x48x80 in size. If I start seeds now can I just stick them in there with her?
Thanks so much guys! Im only a newbie to growing indoors, I live in the midwest and I'd like to keep it going year round!
