Kief processing/refining and pressing techniques...post yours

I've been experimenting with kief for a while...dry sifted through a 120u bubble bag.
I'm getting decent results but I would like a little more information on refining the kief and how to press it.
My basic goal is to obtain full melt pressed kief.

So far it seems the best way for me to consume my meds during the daytime

I'd appreciate any more info you can contribute for high grade kief.

Just so you don't suggest these;
BHO...can't make it without a butane/chemical taste to it, no matter how long I purged it
Water/Ice Hash...too messy for my liking but might go for if the conclusion it that full melt kief is not attainable

full melt has to do with genetics and quality of the resin.
pure dry screen extract can be full melt without any tricks, no pressing or heat needed.
pressing/heating can improve this melt but won't make a non-melt extract into full melt.
solvent extract that kif and you will have a hash oil, melty goo, but you will lose flavor.

you can get fancy with your dry screens and try to replicate ice water extraction. separate the 45 to 120 trichomes from the rest. then separate the 45 to 73 from the 45 to 120. your 73 to 120 should at least be partial melt.

28g soaked in 99% isopropyl alcohol for 1-3 min. Stir and mash it a bit. Then strain liquid into glass pie dish and squeeze out the material best you can. Then just put the pie dish by a fan on low till evaporated.. left with a beautiful golden almost full melt and i cant taste any chemical taste in this...

And freeze the alcohol and material for 1-3 days before you start or till its as cold as it will get.... i also use trim and get amazing results...

matt could use this process your talkin with dry ice do you start with the 120 then go to 45 then do the 73? sorry confused thanks-respect matt-bless dylan

I was working of refining the contraption I have bungee strapped to a dolly I use for sieving and last night I got the most wonderful results for having to work with 3 month old bone dry bubba. All of the crap from beating the load to pieces and crushing it with my hands most harmoniously separated! Somehow i managed not to sneeze or knee the bucket reaching for my ecig. Now comes the task of reproducing consistent results. I wonder if static had anything to do with it from the constant rubbing or if it's just separation by weight.

Im switching out all this home depot nonsense buckets now that I'm happy i like the process and it's worth perfecting. Commercial stainless steel 5 gallon stock pots here I come.

Full melt is dependent on the quality of the trichomes and the "quality" of the sieving. Pressing using heat, which is not a trick, will decarb and maximize flavors and nose but will not actually change the quality of your kief.
To judge the quality of your kief, press 1 or 2 gr in the palm of your hand, good quality kief will become a mass of resin with just the heat of your body in a few minutes. Try to press for 20 minutes and discover what traditions have to teach.
If your kief does not press, the main reason would be that you have too much leaves matter and further sieving is needed to get to the quality you are looking for.
