Kif to Hash Question

I have a a good 8-9 grams of kif but it has quite a bit of plant matter in with it. I read somewhere that the trichs are heavier than water and the plant matter isn't so in theory to purify my kief could I just throw it in some cold water, shake it up real good, and then let it settle out?

In theory it seems it should work but I would like another opinion or 5. I know I should just use it the way it is but I would rather have some good hash instead.

I'm sure that technique would work with kief.
I had an appointment with a dispensary buyer today to show my kief. He tells me it's too green. I said it's very potent. He said it doesn't matter, people don't like green kief so it just sits on the shelf. So I find out that I'm sitting on over a pound of unsalable kief. Then what do I see right here on the old RIU? A very simple solution.
I'll try it on an oz tomorrow.

ya im doing something like this with kief maybe tonight ill let you know how it went just a small ammount maybe a gramm and im going to filter it through some panty hoes i hope it works out good peace and goodluck.
