Thinking about getting a couple of these.

Not sure about emitting color yet but the price is too good to pass up. Anyone have one and care to post a review?

If it really has Samsung LM301s then it is probably okay. They are good high-efficiency diodes. I'd still prefer to go with a real HLG rspec though. Just my opinion.

How can they use the term hlg in their description?Hlg is not what these knockoffs are!

It's the name of the driver by Meanwell.

They probably put the term in there so it would show up in the search results of people searching for HLG. HLG can't be too happy about it, but it would take time to enforce something like that on a Chinese company.

They are clearly trying to compete with the HLG 550, even calling it a V3. HLG is only on V2.

HLG is just now starting to push out a new product line with LM301H diodes.

The HLG 240w with knock off Chinese V3 Quantum boards that arrived today claim to have LM301h diodes.
($159 delivered)

I haven't looked at suppliers for pricing on the 301Hs, but it would surprise me at that price. Samsung did put them out about a year ago though. They certainly look like Samsungs.
