Kosher kush advice!

Just finished cleaning and prepping for a new run and looking for some insight on running Kosher in hydro. I searched but not much about it except in soil. I am wondering about finish times, topping, feeding, etc. Planning on 6 plants (femmed) in net pots and hydroton. I run a sterile res and continuos water flow to upper tray. Any help would be appreciated. I only have about 5.5' of total height and have heard their stretchy ones.

Hmmm! Have I made a bad choice? Not the most popular strain I Guess......

I haven't grown kosher but I did have OG kush, kushage, and stacked kush, I am curious to see yours. Top them if you want they should get ripe around 8 weeks flowering.

I kno you said you want hydro advice srry but any advice helps I guess I have 2 pheno's mothers I grow organic soil (srry) haha but they are very good medicine and they finish for me in 3 gallon aeration pot 9 weeks (hydro would be a little quick maybe probly 8 weeks)its a 8 to 10 week plant but it is based on your preference of trichomes they finish about 5 foot to 5.5 for me which is clone put in at about 12 to 15 inch's tall they are a lanky plant that has to be tied up...hope this helped a little bit

Its DNA genetics. I have grown a couple of kushes as well but never this one. I will probably try SCROG for the first time as well. I've never vegged long enough lately to attempt it lol. 20 days has been the max. Is it a high production plant? At 5.5' feet id be tying it down not up lol. Thanks for the info, it all helps. I'll keep all posted as it gets started!

shit bro i had great results with the kosherkush but an ebb and flow table with hydroton 2 1000 watt i did 6 i think of fems went about 9 weeks nice fat nugz of some triched out stuff, this shit is so potent had me paronoid,i have a 30 gallon rez that i change every 2 weeks and i use general hydro 3 parts with koolbloom floranector florablend my ppms about 1400 peak flower, ph ay 5.8 its a good healthy strain easy to grow u will be impressed gurantee it

Thanks for the info!!! Now I'm happy lol. Not sure about the paranoid stuff though lol. I just grew out White Russian and its kinda jittery too. Its expensive so want to be sure its worth the effort. I have 4 seeds that were gifted but will need a pack to fill in the tray. Again thanks for the info!!!

You can stop the vert growth when you want to all you have to do is bomb them with vit B. Or super thrive.With enough light most plants wont stretch to much.5.5 ft should be enough room.Just put them in kind of smaller than what you already do if you think there is going to be that much stretch.But will probably have to grow out a plant a few times to see how it reacts to what you do to it.

5.5' is never enough lol. Im always having to tie the plants down to keep them out of light. I will look in to the additives, thanks. I use a 600 hps and 8 HO T5's when flowering but do have a 1000 as well. I have to keep lights at 1000w due to wiring.

Good idea about the wiring wouldnt want to burn your grow down.I wish i had ten ft ceilings.About 7 ft is all that i have.I run 8 600s and 2 1000 watt lamps turned down to 600 and 750 watt.
All of my lamps are ran at 240 volt so i use half the amp draw that a 120 volt does.
How hard would it be to run you some more power?The ebb and grow style hydro system gives you a little more overhead room for your plants because they sit on the floor.The flood and drain style tables sit to high off of the ground and decreases your over head space.

Wiring would not be a huge deal just a pain in the ass lol. I grow in a shed beside the house so I would need to run a underground cable to it from the panel. I have pre wired 4 230v outlets and have it all configured with a subpanel in the shed.I also have 100' of 3.0 direct burial cable but need to move the shed this spring so not happening till after that. Its fed with a big ass extension cord now lol. I have a total of 8 feet to ceiling but yes my system is 2.5' off the ground, plus lights, and hangers. The space is gone pretty quick. I have quickly found out how space is critical to the grow re quantity. How people grow in a cabinet is beyond me lol. I guess I was confused (and still am lol) about my setup, i have a 100L tote on the bottom and a 45L tote on top, with net pots in the upper lid (6). I keep the water circulating 24/7 and use flooming for oxygen until the last few weeks, adding air for that final period (roots take up the whole top tote by then). As far as lighting, cost is also an issue, electrical rates here are fucking crazy with "time of use" meters (they see your usage by the minute ahhhh!). I haven't had time to do the final filling and sterilizing yet (H2O2). Germinating tonight I hope and planting Sunday if all goes well. I'll keep all posted as to progress. Its minus 25 here so I may hold off, its a cold walk to the shed lol.

Yea got got snow falling here..supposed to get around a ft of the shit..then turn 20 below zero.If i were using tables to grow with or totes..it would cut the height way down that i could veg to.
I want some initial stretch of the plants..just not to much.
Im with you..i couldnt grow enough smoke to smoke in a cabinet.In a ebb and grow type system would give you some more overhead space.The negative to it is the res would take up floor space someplace else.It would give you a extra ft and a half or so of space.This would be enough to grow a plant almost any size you want it at.
To me ten ft would be ideal.If i had ten ft ceilings i would be growing allot fewer plants larger.Right now i run 2 gallon ebb and grow buckets.
A coffee filter fits perfect in the bottom of the insert bucket then fill it with perlite(cheap)The main res barrel floods and drains on a timer into the buckets to supply food and water to the plant.
When i first got it i had thought about drain tables but decided against it because of the loss of over head space.
A grower could use a aero system and keep it close to the floor if you used a pump to pump the water back up or over to the res instead of having the res sit under the system.

Funny I have height issues to and I'm modifying my stinkbud jr to sit lower so I can use it inside my secret jardin 4x4 tent....

Just a quick update. Tried 4 seeds that were gifted and they didnt pop so ive started 6 femmed seeds from seed bank. Should be ready to go in totes tomorrow night. As for height my totes are one on top of another s it is what it is lol. Still not sure whats gonna happen but leaning toward scrog.

On the ebb and flows are you using rock wool cubes and how big? Dilemma I have is roots in dwc are massive on my kush strains, if I switch to ebb and flow, I wonder if this root growth will give me a massive headache in an ebb and flow. Will the ebb and flow 3x3foot be able to handle the root system of 16 plants?

My dwc roots in 5 gal buckets fill the entire bucket up.

Well my setup is not really an ebb and flow. Honestly im not sure what it is lol. I built it myself. Its 2 totes stacked with a 100l below and 40l above. The top tote is 34x28x8 deep and has 6 6" net pots. At first i was flooding and now pump stays on 24/7. The root matt is massive yes! I clean the drain once halfway through and its not to bad, i just reach in and pull them out. Using cubes the plants roots should stay in the cubes if not covered i believe. Also i have a overflow tube that will drain before overflowinhg

On a side note i do fill system so that both totes are filled! This is a bit risky if the pump stops. Its happened on occasion due to user error lol. I grow in a shed so water just runs out door lol. I do this so i have a more stable res and never have to top up and just refill at bi-weekly or weekly intervals. Oh and FYI I really have not a freaking clue what Im doing lol.

The 6 kosher are in and growing woohoo! I also had 2 pineapple express in the trays as well. They were from the same gifted batch and as space is voluble i didnt trust keeping them so swapped them for two pato#1 that i had. We'll see what happens! Havent added anything to base water yet, ill wait for a week or so when roots appear. Going to let these ones veg for a bit!
