Kush Box

I may have stressed them a bit by topping so close to transition and defoliating at/near the same time, I really don't have much experience training plants indoors. However I like how many flower sites there are so far.

I loosely draped that trellis net over with no intentions of it holding up weight but more to train branches around the canopy while they were still malleable and give time for some of the lowers to catch up. Soon I will build a pvc cage so I can put a new working layer of trellis above for full flower weight.

Next piece is a dehu. Up until now they have liked the humid and hot room but I hate having to run the heater from morning-noon and I will want to drop humidity soon for flowering. Does anybody advise placing a dehu in the room to do both heating and dehumidifying? These rooms are very insulated(ostrich incubation chambers), if I do not run the heater the room will stay high 60-low70s until the sun hits the room fully(1-2pm), then it creeps up to the 80's.

Put a dehu in the room with a drain. The vpd got better, .7-1.0 before and now it's easy to keep it 1-1.4, will trial tomorrow with no heater to see if the light and dehu warm the room enough to supply ample kpa.

Did another defoliation last night to let more light through and unclog the innards a bit, I think I will let them go from here on out. I set the dehu a little higher overnight(65) as a test to see what would happen and be a little safe from just continuously adding heat while I wasn't there. The humidity was better in the morning but still a little low on temps(low 70), will step down the dehu each night until its drier and warmer. The room did warm up faster after lights on in comparison to no dehu so I think I will be able to cut the heater/ac use out with this setup.

Cut some wood to place under the short plants, canopy is pretty even now. Gotta get the real trellis layer going asap before stuff starts flopping. Raised the light up to 24" and reduced daylight hrs by 30 mins, trying to biomimic outdoors. Will probably dim light slightly with more daylight reduction as things get further.
