La Hada's Spanish Garden - Caribe, Jamaican Dream, Double Dutch +

Hi Guys n Gals,

This year I am going to try some of my indoor plants, outdoors. I also have a strain which is Sat based and slow flowering so it's a good opportunity to see it flourish in the garden as I wouldn't choose it for indoors.

I clone Jamaican Dream (Eva Seeds) and Melon Gum (Dr. Underground) so I wanted to see these in their natural beauty outside, rather than being forced to flower all the time.

I also have a Double Dutch (Serious Seeds) which was for indoor purposes but suffered a PH mistake and nearly died. Also a Cheese from Greenhouse and a Dutch Cheese from Dutch Passion (don't ask!)

My roof terrace is 100 sq m and is in full Spanish sun all day. I have used Canna Bio Terra and Atami Bio Grow as my medium. I have to use tap water sometimes ( EC 0.45) but always Ph-ing to less than 7.0. Nutes so far have beeb Atami range from samples and Canna Rhizotonic for transplanting.

I've also got a few AF but we won't talk about that for now.

2011 new 062.jpg2011 new 066.jpg This is a Jamaican Dream that I gave to a friend. I re-potted it for her. It nearly died a while back so it's amazing how vigorous it is now. It does have a few spider mites so I've been Neem-ing it.

2011 new 056.jpgoutdoor 002.jpg This is the Caribe from Cannabiogen. Very Sat based plant crossed between NL Haze and some Jamaican Blue mountain something or other. The one on the left was transplanted into recycled soil and the other one went straight into Bio soil and overtook it. It could grow to a good few metres !!!

I've had to transplant into bigger pots. It looks like a matter of weeks b4 they're popping over the neighbours fence!! Just as well we got on with them!! (They're retired)
It's not ileagal here to grow but plants do get stolen around September time. Might have to consider some LST

The girls in the garden are looking good. I think the Bio Soil was a good choice as it seems to retain the nutes very well and none of my plants have had deficiencies. No chance of over watering as it's nice and windy on the terrace too. I water in the morning with run-off, PH 6.7-7.0 appx with (red wine vinegar)

It's been really hot the last few days, proper beach weather. Sonar Festival was on this week so the city has been full of die hard ravers from all over the World since Thursday, I may have neglected them a bit :(

If I keep up the Neem protection then I think they'll be ok. No bugs present. My friends have had caterpillars already and they hate sprays, I don't !!
I'm a bit worried that my girls might need a new, larger pot b4 they go into flower. I'm reluctant as they will get too big if I do this. What if they get rootbound though?

The JD's look a bit hungry but are also rootbound so I've got work to do this week. Got a few too many really. Will try and give some to friends.

The White Russian (Serious Seeds) looks great and I'm very happy to grow this outdoors. I might do something naughty and take cuttings (however I would never take an outdoor plant indoors though). It is really taking form since it's last transplant.

One of my friends think I'm going to get Kilos by September to help fuel his Association - Hhhmmm, that'd be good. Don't the girls have to be a good few metres to return
such yields? Better stick to the shorter, bushier Indicas in that case.

outdoor 020.jpg Caribe . Flourishing in Atami Bio Mix Soil since transplant. Hardly fed more than 1ml/ litre every 2 waterings.

outdoor 018.jpg Lazy - 2 x AF's in one pot. Freebie from Spannabis. Gonna smoke it anyway but I always think AF's taste a bit strange, like cat piss, not that I'd know!
DSC05530.jpg Some of my Melon Gum clones have revived very well outside.
outdoor 028.jpg White Russian has really bushed out since transplant. loads of new growth and a lovely colour. Sorry, this is The Double Dutch, the white russian is elsewhere (too many plants)

outdoor 023.jpg Jamaican Dream, bit hungry but needs transplant. Prob rootbound. this week promise.

outdoor 031.jpgoutdoor 030.jpg This evening was good !!! Chilling on the beach puffing with a friend, couldn't get into the free rave coz we had crash helmuts on us :( Party Season has truly begun !!!

Hi Guys n Gals !!!

Here's a quick 11am update b4 I start my day !! I've been a bit lazy and have some work to do.
My Jamaican Dreams are very hungry Indicas and I've been meaning to transplant as it's rootbound- Very deficient right now so Im going to do that before I leave to see the others. I am naughty !!

My Caribe look good, nice green colour on foliage. They're all very thirsty this morning and it's gonna be very hot today with low RH 30's%. 47 degrees C in direct sun which is 118 F appx. Checking shade temp now.

I love the Double Dutch and I need to clone that. It's the only one.

I've been feeding them 2ml/L (not 5ml/L as rec'd) every 2 or 3 waterings and apart from the JD's (which need bigger pots) all's well. They are definitiely getting bigger.

Question : We've just had the longest day, the plants are still vegging but how long b4 they recognise the nights getting longer? I'm trying to work out how tall they're going to be?

They're not supposed to be visible so I think I need a DIY plan or extra fencing. There is one problem old man neighbour in the block several floors down and he's screwing that we've got the terrace. In fact we have 2 because the communal one (which he used b4 we moved here) has now been turned into our private terrace (as well as the small one). It came about because 2 sisters own this whole block, they fell out and one said to the other, your flats/tennants aren't going to share my roof flat terrace anymore and I'm going to charge more rent for that flat. He hates this (screwy old man downstairs) and sometimes makes trips upstairs to go into the cordoned off section. Thru the fence, he saw my AF's last year and told my boyfriend in Spanish " you have many plants" . And what ? We've got 100 sq m terrace?? He didn't say MJ plants but we know don't we? He's a wanker and we got a €330 fine for my terrace B-day party due to him last year and he threw a bucket of water over a girlfriend as she left. He's really not well ao he's calmed down a bit. He's stressing himself to death!!

So, this year they're on another side of the garden (It's a big 'L' shape with sun all day), out of his view but in front of our nice neighbours and others possibly beneath. Everybody does it here and u literally walk around Barcelona city and find leaves all over the street fallen from balconies above. I think the allowance has gone from 6 to 10 plants per house, I haven't counted but I have put 2 clones, AF's in one pot to condense it. Im taking the piss bit but some are AF so they'll be down soon, might even cut in the next few days.

This was supposed to be quick - FUCK ! i could talk the leg off a chair so I'm off - got plants and stray cats to feed !!!

DSC05562.jpg .....and I've got my eye on this one but he's very nervy.

Hello People !!

I'm taking clones of the Double Dutch now. It looks great and has a had a big spray of pyrthrim this morning. Can't see any bugs but it's best to make sure as what I'm doing is not ethical practice of cloning. They will remain in a seperate incubator box until they root and then they will be dipped in miticide when transplanted.

I love the form of this plant so I will take cuttings from all around to keep it bushy. outdoor 037.jpg

I'm so impressed with Serious Seeds I can't tell you. After I grew their Chronic (first grow alongside critical) I met Simon, the CO at the show and he was really helpful. This plant give me 70g dry and it one was of 6 under a 600W. They used to only do half a dozen strains but now they've collaborated with another company and do twice the amount.

Double Dutch is a cross between Chronic and Warlock. Im looking forward to their White Russian. He's got an award winning AK47 too.

I've clone into soil b4 no problem, even b4 the MJ days !!!

Hi Guys !!

Hope ur having a lovely relaxing Summer day. The clones from the Double Dutch yesterday are looking strong today. I worry abt the heat in the prop box even though there's a fan on it.

Other stresses today include the deficiency in my clones, Looks like Mg ( ? )
but I did have another mishap with the damn PH tester. It was .4 out so when I though they were getting PH 6.6 it was prob PH 6.2.( Mg lockout) They've had EC 0.4 of Ca & Mg and then nutes to EC 0.7. Keep getting caught out by this. Gonna use 2 and cross reference them. Callibrating twice a week. Fell out with my Adwa's - don't ask.

So, Ive had enough and have retired to the garden to soak up some evening sun.

;-)

I think the def on my clones is Mg as I've been using half RO to EC 0.2. EC has been low as they were transplanted recently. What do u think?:wall:
