Labor Saving Ideas

I am new to growing, but have to work 10 hour days, cook, clean, and take care of the familiy (a baby and a six year old), mow the lawn etc.--as though I were an adult. And my relationships will not tolerate me spending 3 hours a night playing with Cannabis plants.

I am starting my second grow (Green Crack fem) in soil. I am looking for ways to save time, but still have a decent crop. I hope to use a good soil and top dress it a few times rather than mix nutrients constantly.

I intend to automate as much as possible. I am planning to install Hydro Halos, pump, and timer to a reservoir pH to aroudn 6.0 with a bubbler for out of town watering. I also plan to put some sort of drip line gravity fed irrigation to large funnels so I can still hand measure and water them without having to crouch down and maneuver in a crowded tent when watering.

I'll have lights on a timer and exhaust fan on a thermostat.

Anyone else have labor saving ideas?

Maybe cut something out, if you loose the kids you'll have hours upon hours to play with
Lol jk man seriously tho I feel your pain no kids though and the wife takes care of dinner I just stand at the BBQ and drink beer.... But summertime is busy. I'm renovating our house by myself as well. Time sometimes slips away. Then sometimes I'm just tired af and wanna just chill.... Been looking at blumats for automating irrigation, but haven't taken the plunge. Something about not seeing what's going on when I'm watering makes me nervous. I also like to be up close and personal with the ladies so I really feel what's going on in there at all times.

Even when hand watering plants (4) I spend at most 40mins in my grow and that’s when I have to fill my water container.

I now use this though which is just a quick dump of the runoff, check plants and out.
