So I checked at watched for the first few weeks of flowering and didnt find any males. Now, Im at day 70 and I found this in the very corner of the room, on a large cola that kind of was hanging low from its own weight, Did this one hermie on me late? Things are a little crammed now that their at full size, so i dont know why it would hermie late, not all of the plant looks like this.

What should I do?

Chop all of them? Chop some of them? Just chop this one?

Please Advise, thanks.

I can support it no problem, Im more concerned with it spreading to other areas/other plants, and was trying to figure out why this happened to prevent it frokm happening again. I thought a male was like anthrax and spread fast ruining almost all remaining plants rather quickly.

If you're really worried about it, just chop it up and dispose of it. I'm not sure why it would happen either so I can't help with that. But getting rid of it won't do any harm to the plant.. if anything, it's probably a good thing.

looks like female to me...check the calyx for seed, if there is none then its fine...just filling out odd...like fox-tailing.....but some strains grow like this one is too.

It really all depends on how hermie your plant is. If you see a lot of bananas it might be wise to chop. If you see a few, let it go. If you are seeing balls, get rid of it. Bananas are stressed induced hermie parts... and can be managed. Balls, however, mean it's a genetic hermie... there's not much you can do. Bananas can really only pollinate their immediate area. Balls can pollinate an entire house. Look into a product called reverse (works in combination with a product called saturate) made by dutchmasters. Its probably too late, at 7 weeks, to use it now... but for future grows...

hey lime long time no see. ;-)

Like humans, plants also have DNA. And by having DNA you are prone to genetic mutations or defects. It could just be a defect in that one area of the plant, or a genetic mutation that your plant was predisposed to.

You can find out by letting it grow out all the way and checking to see if it's doing the same thing in other areas or if it was just a one time deal. That way you can tell if it's a serious problem or just an annoyance.

yes it has...how you been?
Good... except I ran out of weed a couple weeks ago. 4 more weeks... sigh. I'll post some pics in "all my pictures." First I have to go pick up a friend from work. I hope he has weed.

It was way more clustered up in the corner then I thought. There was actually 2 back there that were pretty much growing Into each other making it look like one. I see little balls in some places, but not in others. I'm just gonna toss both of them. Are the rest still in danger? I"m positive it didn't look this way in the beginning weeks, and I have another of the same strain, but both are from seeds not clones, and they look noticeably different.

Id rather harvest them all or what I can instead of let them continue to pollinate the rest. The rest look good but when someone said balls can pollinate the hole house, It makes me want to clear out the room, I have the next batch that I just switched to flower a week ago and can keep a closer eye. If I chopped all of them, tossed the 2 questionable ones, and had the rest hanging in a separate, but adjacent room , could they pollinate my next batch even though they hanging to dry?

squeeze what you think are balls. They might just be half formed seeds. However, if a bunch of pollen falls out you should bleach clean your grow room. Pollen can stay active for a while... a month or two(?). The ones you sent into flower a week ago... use reverse and saturate on them. A week or two into flower is the perfect time to use it. It will stop/prevent seed formation... and it will do its damnedest to keep the girls girls. I've used reverse and saturate as late as 5.5 weeks in. If you use it mid-late into flower, make sure you have good air flow to avoid mold. don't use it too late in... or it will affect taste.

can you get a clear pic of suspected pod?

worst case ....you have to chop the ones with balls/sacks/pods...you can still smoke them...so will not be a total waste...just don't want to get the rest of your girls prego, if the sacks open you will get seed in all your weed.

Hi, I'm a new member and quite a new grower, I have a hermie which showed balls in week 2-3 of flower, only on smaller branches, so far I have inspected daily and nip off any I find, after the initial bulk clearance, only a few are now appearing, I bought the reverse and saturator and applied in week 4 but now the buds and sugar leaves are all gettin nice and crystally, how did you apply the reverse in week 5.5, we're you concerned with the reverse saturating into the crystal and buds? I only have 2 plants, 1 fem kush and 1 bagseed (the herm) so don't wan to chop it, especially after buying the reverse, I was just a little concerned with such a late application and wanted other people's thoughts on applying so late in flower. You say don't use too late in flower or the taste is effected, is this from experience? Any other thoughts / comments appreciated

I don't see any evidence of male parts. Only swollen calyxs and foxtailing buds. You have mistaken the foxtailing for a hermaphrodite.

Foxtailing is when the internal density of the bud can't increase anymore and bud growth is forced up and outward from the main cola. The calyxes stack on top of themselves forming what looks like...a foxes tail. You will greatly regret chopping your plant from mistaken identity!

@5.5 weeks, I once had to use reverse and saturate. I used it like normal... but just once. I didn't notice a bad taste. @ 5.5 weeks the plant still has time to absorb and use the 'reverse.' The optimal way to use it is to spray a week into 12/12... and then 10 days later. Now that I have reverse and saturate on hand, I use it the optimal way it's suppose to be used every grow... to prevent problems.
