Latest on How to Lower PH?

I have been growing for over 10 years and never have had issues with PH until now.
What is the latest on lowering PH? The water I use is too alkaline.

I have started mixing peat moss in the soil but the soil PH is still right at 7. I think I need to add something to the water. There is vinegar. That sounds too simple. Has anyone had success with vinegar? How about commercial preparations? The water I use is in a 400 gallon tank. What about adding something to the entire 400 gallons?

If you don't have access to a shop to pick up a bottle of PH down, home remedies include vinegar (not sure of any ramifications with it) and lemon juice (have had to use this in a pinch many times and it worked well) . Most times just adding nutes will lower your PH as well.
I wouldn't do the 400 gal tank just PH what your adding to your medium. GL

Stores that have aquarium supplies will carry pH up and down...
