I have also some mother plants , 2 months in veg
i want to top them super hard, and wondering, how close can i top them. They have 8-9 floors of branches. Can i top them after 2 branch? thickness of trunk is 1/2 inch ( 1-1.5cm).

i think you gonna run outa room if you havent gone 12/12 yet
Thank you brother but thankfully looks are deceiving lol. It’s about a 14x18 room roughly and if I need more room I can use the other side that’s usually just for drying/cloning/storage and what not.
I usually super crop the tallest stems about a week before flower, my issue has been the hydro plants tipping over from all the extra weight. Defoliated right after this pic was taken and then I bottomed out the bottom 10 inches of growth or so.

Topping requires time after doing it. If you are concerned about plant height consider supercropping. I personally wouldn’t top unless you have a couple of weeks for the new branches to elongate.
I only am considering topping for an even larger yield. Running 1450 watts with Samsung led diodes, 15 plants hydro with a 10 week veg.

Forgot to mention, was planning on topping all of them and the supercropping just the main cola to keep them from tipping over after the stretch. Working with 11FT ceilings

If you top and give the plant the necessary time to develop a decent size stem you should have multiple colas. But not a single top cola. I like to top 3 times in a row and starting early. Very early. Leaves you 8 main branches. Supercrop and lay the 8 out like spokes in a wheel. Continue the supercropping until about the second week of flower. At that point stems start to snap hard and not recover well.
