Leaf bleaching?

Just noticed these spots forming on one leaf of my recently topped OGK18. I'm just about at the end of the 18hr on cycle, which was the first one with my MH at full 600W (been running progressively at 50%, then 75%). Is this leaf bleeching? If so, just ride it out? If not, any ideas on what this could be?

I see what you're talking about, how the membrane on the leaf is thinning out. Doesn't look like light bleaching just quite yet-- you will get actual white spots, that look like they have been bleached.

Didn't you say you've been feeding? That thin membrane thing was one of the first things I saw on mine when I started feeding, before the leaves started to burn.

Don't worry, that plant still looks fine. What is your feeding at?

.....if your water is rather soft you might want to consider using cal-mag

it looks like the start of a deficiency of some sort, which will likely only get worst with time if not addressed

I haven't feed them anything as of yet. They're 16 days since sprout, in a mix of Fox Farms Light Warrior, Happy Frog, and perlite. Thinking maybe the girls have munched their way through the light nutes available in that medium and it's time to give them a tiny bite of some fertilizer. My plan had been to feed through transplanting into 3 gallon pots. I've been cooking up an amended FFOF mixed with some goodies, but my pots don't arrive until Monday! May need to find some fabric pots locally today.

You mixed perlite with Light Warrior?
That soil is like 30% perlite already, and WAY overpriced for being so. Even for FF.
Its premixed, why did you bother?

Why bother? Why, to fight the common newbie paranoia about over watering, of course. Medium critiques aside, you think the soil is spent?

I don't think its a bad idea. I always like to toss some extra perlite in whatever soil I'm using. The better it drains, the more you can feed and the easier you can rinse, so the easier it is to flush/fix problems.

Not to mention, there have been several studies showing that 100% perlite mediums work the best. The volcanic rock is very porous and holds nutrients well.
