Yes..thats what i mean..even the experts dont agreed on this matter..But with some sativa plants like mine(check my album) it need to be cut..look at my plants, they been cut.Looks good?yes??But what about the dry fan leafes i got..Can i use them??Recepies??FYI - Ran into this argument in the past so I set up an experiment. Picked 4 white widow plants that were more or less identical. Trimmed off all of the larger/older leaves on 2 plants and left the others alone. This was 1/2 way through the flower period. The trimmed plants experienced slower growth and only yielded about 2/3 as much as the ones I left alone.
This experiment was based on Uncle Ben's advice (each leaf supplies energy to the plant) VS The Urban grower's online video (cut them big leaves off).
In my opinion, Uncle Ben knows his shit & the urban grower is handing out some well meaning but missguided info.
This is my last post in this thread as you have everyone telling you it's not a good idea, and if you can't understand that simple concept then you're unteachable. First of all, the sativa has thin and narrow leaves. If there is EVER a time to leave the leaves on, it's on a sativa. How much light are those thin leaves blocking???Yes..thats what i mean..even the experts dont agreed on this matter..But with some sativa plants like mine(check my album) it need to be cut..look at my plants, they been cut.Looks good?yes??But what about the dry fan leafes i got..Can i use them??Recepies??

Anyways, the journal in my signature is of a sativa dominant strain and I don't chop leaves off. If you continue to mutilate your plant, I can promise you that my buds at day 44 will be bigger than yours will be at your day of harvest. Can say we didn't try.

That read just like the Eskimo character in the old Clutch Cargo cartoon talked.
