leaves are "breaking". wtf is this?

The bigger leaves on my 2 older plants look like they are almost breaking or tearing. I have looked long and hard and found no bugs or mites of any kind. It doesnt really look like bug damage anyways.

Anybody have some incite as to what this may be?
