Leaves canoeing and drooping, orange edges

I’m seeing some issues emerge and I can’t seem to fix em. I definitely don’t have the ideal space and setup. This is my first grow - bag seed, two plants in soil watered every few days. In a 3x3x8 closet with one Hipargero 450w LED. I’ve only got one fan on the floor and I have no fan pushing hot air out. I gave them BioThrive Bloom 2-4-4 nutes the watering before last at 2 Tbsp per gallon. Waterings before that were givin 1 Tbsp per gallon.

The bigger plant with canoeing and drooping leaves has tiny white bugs in the soil that I cannot get rid of. I’ve soaked the top soil with Natria Neem Oil multiple times but they keep coming back. I’ll be trying peroxide soon.

The other plant’s got a good amount of orange tipped leaves throughout, but I think it may have stopped spreading. It started about a week ago. Some of the older leaves on the bottom of both plants have dried and been ejected.

I water them with bottled water - ph 6.7
I don’t have a ppm meter but my runnoff ph is in the upper 5’s.

Oh and I’m on week 4 of flower

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

Imo looks like over feeding and some heat stress

Bottled water is not ideal as it’s high in minerals especially sodium.

If you’re over feeding the plants in a hot room it will speed up the effects of the over feeding.

Cooler temperatures mean you can feed heavier nutes.

Warmer temperatures means the plants require more plain water or less nutrients.

What are your running specs of the room you’re using?

Temps hi lo
Humidity hi lo
Air movement
Any intake or exhaust fans

If you have no exhaust or Intake air how are you replenishing the Co2 depleted air?

Thanks for the reply.
So i need a water with a low mineral content? I wanna just use my tap but i have no clue whats in it.
Last time i fed them i gave them a stronger dose, so i'd say you're right about over feeding.
I don't have the tools to measure temp or humidity but i'm sure humidity is low. I only have a single fan that sits low blowing up at the wall and I leave the door cracked when the lights are on. I plan on getting another fan to blow hot air out of the top. I'm really fucked on location.
Do you think i should get a c02 bag?
Gotta say I never imagined how much work this would take when i just decided to throw a couple seeds in a cup but holy shit this whole process is addicting and fun as hell. Thanks again man.

They come to the surface, crawl a short distance and then go back under. I haven’t seen them jump and I haven’t seen anything flying around. Im Pretty sure the soil is miracle grow indoor. I see them when I start to water and sometimes when I poke around to check soil dampness.

Unfortunately you’ve fallen into that place where you think how hard can it be?

Bag of soil, couple of seeds and a light.

IME most grows start out this way and quickly seem like a drain on your pocket as your trying to fix the next environmental problem.

Just run this one out and setup properly next time.

Your little bugs will undoubtedly be springtails no big issue unless you end up with thousands of them per pot.

Purple stem is usually caused by Magnesium deficiency or cold temperatures.

With you not having the most amount of tools at your disposal you’re better off just riding this out using the soil you have and don’t feed anything until you see signs of your lower leaves getting more yellow.

The miracle gro isn’t the greatest choice for your first time.

My entire setup cost me around £500/$650 and my biggest investments were my lighting, extraction fan and carbon filter.

I’ve ran this same setup for over 6 years before that I bought the latest and greatest gadgets. Then got busted and then decided to KISS my grow.

Keep It Simple Stoner!
