Any idea why leaves going pale green at base and have discoloration forming. Seed grown and 3 weeks old since sprout Indoor grow, watering 2 or 3 times a week in 70% coco 30% perlite.

Using fox farm EC 1.2 with cal mag full dose, PH 5.9.

I dunno what the issue is. This is what I would try. An experiment with pH.
See what will happen to one of your plants if your feed a small plant a much lower ppm solution (150-275) at 6.2-6.3 pH. How does that change the outcome?
TBH, since I do not see any significant leaf curl then my idea may be wrong.
Tho, I was surprised when it cleared up my issues in coco. Is it possible that that coco forumulations vary considerably?
Lastly, if there is not risk of heat damage, I would lower the lights to increase lumens. Maybe not enough light.
Tell us what works.

You do need to feed everytime you water in coco but how long have you been at full strength nutes? Try raising your pH...imo your pH is probably too low

raised PH and started foliar spraying with cal mag solution. Things are starting to look better and will report in a few days. Thanks for all oof the advice

That EC is pretty high for plants that small. At this stage I run an EC of .3 to .5 (with my tap water it ends up being around .8 though)
If you keep the EC low at this stage then you don't have to water until runoff.

I would see what are the suggested dosage according to the manufacturer. The nutes I’m using now suggest 1.2 ec for seedlings in hydro. I started at 0.8 ec (or less), thinking I was strong and scratched my head for a week when the plants are pale and slow, before I looked on the back of the bottle.

Are you adding any cal mag to your solution?

No. I used to when I started growing with fox farms. I have a part A and B of Jacks dry fertilizer now. No extra cal/mag or epson salts goes in.

I do use tap water which probably has sources of cal/mag in it. I think people using RO water don't need to add any extra cal/mag. But a lot of people have been adding it for years as well. I think the current thinking is putting more cal/mag in is unnecessary. I'm no expert though.

I did add extra epson salt (magnesium) when I first started with the Jacks. Found out a year later it wasn't necessary so I stopped using it.

I'm using fox farms and adding a full dose of cal mag to each feed. I had cal mag issues earlier on with twisted leaves and might have gone overboard. When you used fox farms how often did you cal mag and how much? I'm using well water which has a decent amount of calcium in it(160ppm) but no idea how much mag it has.

Here is the latest pic and seems to be doing much better color wise

So you as the grower what do you think was wrong with it

Its so hard to say exactly what I think was the main issue but I believe the lights were too close, ph was too low and maybe cal mag problems as I started to foliar spray. I did some research and it seemed like lime green plant could be caused by a mag issue preventing other nutes from getting in

Is a 200 watt led a super large amount of lumens? Like how would that compare to a bank of six 4 foot T5s? The reason I ask is I have had leaf ridiculously close without any apparent issue other than burning to a crisp when it touches.
Just trying to help exclude causes.

These new LEDs are SUPER strong, most of them have dimmer knobs on them and suggest something like 25% strength at 28"+ at seedling/early veg
Apparently light bleaching and such is fairly common with them, especially with newer growers. I use HPS personally.

Would this be light stress as well? I have my lights 28" from highest part of canopy and dimmed to 70% at 4 weeks 3 days into flower. They are turning light green while the others strains aren't. I'll post pics of my setup and plants20210924_115950.jpg20210924_115958.jpg20210924_120020.jpg20210924_120027.jpg20210924_120031.jpg20210924_120038.jpg20210924_120046.jpg20210924_120050.jpg20210924_120058.jpg20210924_120100.jpg
