Led design for cfl grow. Would it be viable??? Opinions welcome!

Hello, I dont have any fancy pictures yet but here is my idea, influenced by the ufo led grow lights here: http://www.ledgrowlightsoutlet.com/90-w-ufo-led-grow-lights.html.

The design is simple ; make a circular fixture, the one i have drawn up uses 16 cfls, I would use the 26 watt cfls. You could do what you like for spectrum as they are changeable very easily.

I would use the lamp holders pictured here; http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100356849/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Or maybe a smaller one, wired up behind them connected, I also designed it to have a backside with an exhaust fan and ports, and pretty much a slightly larger unit with cfls instead of leds. My calculations if you have 16 26 watt cfl's at 1750 lumens each, you can have a fixture with 28000 lumens and covering lst'd plants or scrog you could keep very close to the plant, I think its a good idea, and I'm going to build it, if you guys are interested I will post my progress.

Opinions and idea's are welcome!!

sounds good i built one that holds 14 cfls it isn't round but sounds like it's along the same lines in design idea i have not used it yet but i think it should work good for lst/scrog

For a second I thought you were gonna take a ufo light then surround it with 16 cfl's.... now THAT would be awesome. Regardless this should be interesting to see built but IMO i would stick with a cheaper route of less, higher wattage bulbs.

Thanks for the replies! The picture you posted is very similar to the basic idea. One fixture to maximize lumens without having 20 different lights to hang! lol. I have made a few drawings and I am getting materials today. I'll post either a picture or at least a drawing today.
