LED Difference During Growing

Hi all first time poster here, from Ireland.

I have been searching all night, 101 already asked questions, other Growing forums, Google etc, all I can find via Google is comparison between growing with HPS and LED.

My question is, what are(if any) the changes that have to be made with regards to nutrients, watering etc. During veg and flowering stages when using LED ?

Is there any tutorials on this ?

Thanks for reading

For me I get real short plants with LED. I have to raise the lights way off the plants in veg to get any stretch. The LED's are heavy in blue btw. I got my plants to stretch a bit but had the light abnormally high off them.

Less heat means less watering too.

Cheers Yesum,

What we talking ? 20 inch from the tops of the plants or ?

What ratio red:blue:other would you advise on ?

Most I see advertised on sites are 7:1:1

Yea like 20 inches or more even. More blue means less stretch. mine are 70% red, 10% white, and 20% blue. White provides blue and red btw, it is a mix of different colors. If choosing between a veg or flowering model I would get the flowering one so you have a lot of red to plump the buds up.

Blackstar have a cheap but pretty good light. Many other higher end makers have better ones at higher prices.
