LED/Fluorescent Grow

This is my second grow ever. My first one never got harvested due to security complications involving my ex-girlfriend so it doesn't even count as far as I'm concerned. I've gotten rid of the girl and I have an all new setup this time around.
Heres what I'm working with:

GrowLab GL60
Lumigrow ES-330 LED grow light
4 54 watt T-5's
4" exhaust fan
Phresh filter
Environmental controller
House and Garden Line of Nutrients and Supplements

I'm germinating some Silver Haze #9 seeds from sensi-seeds at the moment. When the seedlings are ready, they will be transplanted into smart pots.

Heres a few pics, they're low quality phone pics for now but I should have a nice digicam by tomorrow.

Heres a few more pics. These were taken about 1 1/2 weeks into vegetative growth. The plants have since been FIM'd and are now starting week 2 of veg.

Hey man cool set up, similar to what i'm thinking for my first round. Def. sub'd to see how it go's.
Good Luck!
Thanks Rutherford, if you have any questions about my setup feel free to ask. Theres a lot to learn about LED's that noone really talks about. For instance, I learned firsthand that they are very capable of burning plants if they are too close to the light.

I've got a total of 4 plants, 3 silver haze #9, and 1 sharksbreath. They're all doing awesome with the LED/T-5 lighting combination. I also highly recommend the House and Garden nutrients. One of my favorite things about them is they have the right amount of magnesium and calcium in the base nutrients, so I haven't had to diagnose any deficiencies. It just makes the grow easier. They're also very pH stable so once I mix up a batch of nutrients I never have to readjust pH. Heres my latest pics after the FIM

The plants have taken to the FIM quite nicely. Each plant now has two tops (as was intended) and are growing rapidly. I have a ton of bud sites and am 3 days into week 2 of veg. I was originally going to start flowering at the end of this week, but the growth is so short and bushy that I think I'll stretch it out another week just to maximize my plants flowering potential

man you really crammed some lights in there haha... I like your style. I have a DR60 with a 120W led from HTGsupply and 3-4 42W CFLs... sorta like the poor man's version of yours. I was seriously considering putting single T5s on the corners like you did, but when I first started I was considering growing with CFLs only so I bought a bunch of them... I'm really loving your node spacing... theyve got more light than they can use for sure

how much above ambient temperatures does ur tent get? Do the T5 ballasts sit outside the tent? Because my 42W CFLs put out some heat because of the ballast is connected to the bulb.

I have a TD-100x fan set on low which gives about 95 CFM connected to a CAN filter and it can get about 10 degrees above ambient temperature sometimes so when it's like 77 degrees it can go as high as 88 inside the tent.... If I put it on high itll lower the temps maybe 2 degrees, but it's much more noise...

Oh yeah, are you going to do a scrog there? I put up a screen over the plants like that, but I found it was a pain in the ass to water so I took it off and just LST'd... LST is awesome :)

Nice grow so far man. I am looking to maybe add some led in my 400w cabinet as i hear good things about mixing led, fluro and hid to get a nice spectrum and give some potent buds.

Thanks man I think I might actually take your advice on LSTing because the plants are already getting hard to water. My temps have been staying around 75-77 degrees ever since i put in the axial fan for active air intake. The T-5's I'm using have built in ballasts and stay relatively cool. They're the SunBlaze models from sunlight supply if you're interested. The nice part about them was they all daisy chain together so I can run all 4 T-5's and the LED unit off one two socket timer. One more week of veg and it'll be time to see how well my setup does for flowering. If it flowers even half as good as it veg's I'll be satisfied with it

Thanks for stopping in. The way I see it mixing LED, Fluoro, and HID is the ultimate artificial light source, I just can't control the heat HID's produce in my small area so LED/Fluoro is an excellent alternative, I'm not at all disappointed with the results i've gotten so far.

hey man looking good...i got a similar tent and have been thinking about getting some LED lights ...i have a 250w MH and 600W HPS that i run on 50% for now ...what typ of LED light do you have...take a pic of the light setup and post

Yea I got a cab with good vent and I have a portable ac. So I'm good with hid but I have room for some sidelights wall fluros and would love an fatty led in there and closet will look like fucking r2d2 in shit.

Heres an update on my grow. The plants are really starting to show their sativa traits. The last pic is sharksbreath, which is very much an indica

Oh yeah, I meant to add that since I inoculated the soil with Mycorrhizae, I've noticed growth is a little faster. I use Great White from Plant success, but theres a ton of brands and I would recommend using any brand of mycorrhizae as you'll probably get results with any of them. One of the biggest benefits is that it helps break down Phosphor which comes in handy when the plants are flowering. Give it a try and see what you think!

Because the plants are already starting to grow to the point where i don't know if i'll be able to manage them, I've decided to start flowering as of tomorrow. Its time to see what this LED is capable of.

They get watered every 2-3 days, I don't think they're over watered. This is a sativa strain so the leaves tend to have that long, thin look to them. I've been judging the overall health of the plants by how well my indica plant is doing, and it seems to be doing fine.
