LED grower questions

I grow under LED as of a few days ago and trying to find the right temps.

What temps do you gown under LED and how do you measure it?

This page says that par 1500 and 86* F is ideal. Is this true?

In 2008, researchers at the University of Mississippi published a paper (“Photosynthetic response of Cannabis sativa L. to variations in photosynthetic photon flux densities, temperature and CO2 conditions") that validated the fundamental optimal growing conditions for cannabis cultivation to be light levels of 1,500 PAR [photosynthetically active radiation] and a leaf temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

i read that same study. didnt' they say that supplementing with CO2 at those figures led to even better growth?

i'd say anywhere from 82 to 85 would be fine.

At 1500 ppfd they better be running c02...

Around 900-100 umol/m sq is really the upper limits of what you will want without running supplemental c02.

Anywhere from 80-86 f is good as an estimate. Look up the vpd charts with actual leaf temperature equations to really zero in on optimal zones. And please remember every strain is different.

I agree with this due to what I have researched. I made the switch to LED’s about month and half ago and I don’t let my leaf temps go over 75 and I keep my room at around 77. I haven’t tried temps higher yet but I have my veg room to use as a crontrol for when I do. I’m keeping my VPD on point this time around to see what happens. I have heard mixed reviews of whats the best temps are for using LED’s. Most ppl say to keep it higher in the 80-85 range. My plants are mainly indica strains and seem to love what I’m doing.

1,500 and 85 is like, max, and honestly too much. You want 1200 PPFD max, and 70-85 degrees, but more like 80 max.

The site is probably bullshit, though. Stick with COBs and QBs.
