I'd say the first question before recommending anything is how much space are you flowering, and how budget conscious are you.
Those lights are very good, but also not cheap.
The most efficient boards are often not the correct choice for everyone.
Diy lights you can get within 10% the efficiency of those for under half the cost. It does take abit of work on your own assembling though.
For non diy id buy a meiju or kingbrite before a HLG. Same parts way less $ because its a chinese knockoff.
I cant justify spending $1000 on 600watts of LED tho.

I agree $1k for a light is unreasonable and way over my budget.
And what spectrum to go with? kinda over my head here....

With LED worth using off the shelf your looking at around $8-12k to fully light a 12x12ft area.
(excluding knock offs)

I picked up this light on Amazon, no complaints and the price was right, $361. They have a ton of options if you check out their store on Amazon. They also sell on Alibaba, but Amazon was the same price and I preferred having Amazon to deal with if there were any issues, but it was a flawless transaction.
Thanks! Ordered one last night. Will test it out.
