I have been looking into LED lighting and was wondering what peoples opinions where on this? I thought they looked good for a small space where heat might be an issue? Was thinking about getting an LED pannel with blue and red bulbs one of those ones that are something like 12 inches square? Like this: 220 V Hydroponic Lamp 225 LED Grow light Panel Red Blue on eBay, also Hydroponics, Plants Seeds Bulbs, Garden Plants, Home Garden (end time 03-Jul-08 06:44:49 BST) Are they any good? How many plants do you think you could grow with just one of these? Any other opinions would be great, thanks.

LEDs have made tremendous progress recently. Mainly in the aquaria world but for growing land plants they just are not exactly there....yet. They are coming. They will have certain advantages too, one of the biggest is the heat. My personal favorite is that you wont have to worry about painting your walls white or using mylar. Which this could for some open the doors to be able to grow "anywhere" and in smaller areas. Dont waste your money on them yet, unless you do the research into them and know exactly what you need and build one yourself.
