I would say wait it out another year, been haveing trouble w/ node spaceing & array hieght. Ihave a spectra290w & have talked to a lot folks w/ the same issues.

I have just finished my 1st grow using cfl!

I think it depends.
I had a 250w red with a reflector and a 150w blue just hanging over four Blue Cheese and they did as good as my 400w hid.
I was shocked but delighted.

I have seen some awesome grows with LED, specifically the newer 3w led's. Was a little slower in veg & bloom but great finish.
You need to make sure if you go led to go with the right ones, Cree, brightlux and there is one other I cant remember off top of my head are said to be the best leds for growing.
